How You Can Help Pack 187

Everyone's participation will help ensure the best possible Scouting experience for our boys! Please volunteer to help out in any way you can. Are you a good organizer? Do you like teaching? Do you have special skills you can share? Here are some things that parent volunteers might help with -- this is just a list of suggestions, talk to the Scout leaders about what kinds of help would be most useful.

Troop Communications

Issue meeting announcements, publicize events, keep everyone "in the loop." Spread the word about our events.

Cub Scouting

Cub Packs are open to all boys in First through Fifth grades (6-10 years old). There are several active Cub Scout packs in Brooklyn. Each pack is sponsored by a religious or community organization. Cubs learn by doing fun activities with other boys their age. For more information or a referral to a pack near you, please use the Contact Us link above.

Boy Scouting

Scout Troops are open to all boys in Fifth through Twelfth grades (11-18 years old). There are several active Scout Troops in Brooklyn. Each pack is sponsored by a religious or community organization. Boy Scouts learn leadership in troop positions such as Patrol Leader. For more information, or a referral to a troop near you, please use the Contact Us link above.

GNYC Scout Camps

The Greater New York Council's camp facilities are the places that Cub Packs and Scout Troops may go for weekend Scout Activity Days or overnight camping trips and Camp-o-Rees, as well as for summer camp. Click the camp name to go to the camp's website.
